Saturday projects

Okay, I have done 4 cards today!

The first card was for my nephews 1st birthday! The next three are also birthday cards one for my Dad, brother and niece. So I'm getting caught up. Tomorrow the goal is to do at least 2 cards for my sister and work on the coversheets for the reunion this summer. I'm thinking I may not get them done this weekend, but at least I can get them close!

Raise your hand if you thought I gave up...

Well I didn't!! Project 15 was done on Sunday (1/24), a card for my nephews birthday party. Since then I've been working on ten 'scrap' pages. These are going to be the cover sheets for the family reunion schedule this summer. So as soon as they are all done I"ll post them!
This card was made with my cricket, using the 'everyday paper dolls' cartridge. Also the 'Happy Birthday' was cut with the 'beyond birthdays', the stars are just a punch I have.

So I'm a little behind at the moment, but will be caught up by the end of this weekend. And with all the cards I need to make for my sister I may even be back ahead of schedule after this weekend. (I hope)

Project 13 & 14

This is what I worked on over the weekend, Saturday was the scrap page - Kellie in the rain. I had a hard time getting a clear picture without the glare, so you get glare! I used my cricut for the little rain girl (everyday paperdolls) and the lettering (cuttin' up) This was the last August Page!! The next page will be September!
I made this card for the new assistant starting in my office tomorrow! I was so excited! This is just cutouts from a cute piece of paper I got a long time ago, and the 'hello there' is from my cricut (beyond birthdays)

Day Eleven - Projects 11 & 12

This is another August page with Kellie's new bike! I used stretch your imagination for the bike and cuttin' up for the lettering.

The card is another version of the cupcake card I made last week, I actually might make one or two more since the idea is so cute and I feel okay about giving the same card to different 'groups' of people (in-laws, family, work).

Seven Days Done!

Day Seven and I just finished cards 7, 8, 9 & 10!! Go me, I'm ahead of schedule!

I made these four thank you cards for everyone that gave Kellie such nice gifts at her birthday party last Saturday. I used all scraps from my 'scrap drawer', a star punch, some stickers (buttons) and cut out merci with my cricut using 'beyond birthdays'. These were really easy and it only took me about 1/2 hour to do all four!!

Project #6

Here is the page I did last night, it's a little blurry. I'm still trying to figure out the best way to get the photos, and I think I just need to get a new camera!
This page is another August page, and even though I said I would only do 3 per month August is going to end up being 5 (I think, maybe 6) but I know September will only be one or two. There was just to much to fit onto 3 pages!
These are cabin pictures from my parents cabin (that's why there is a block of orange), the camp fire and marshmallows are from my cricut 'everyday paper dolls' and the text is from 'cutting up'.

Projects #4 & #5

Okay, I finally got some pics of the scrap pages I did on Friday and Saturday. I still have to do one tonight. I hope to be done with August 2008 for Kellie by the end of the week!
I spent the afternoon getting all the pictures I have printed in order and dated. I have this weird thing about needed to scrapbook everything in order!

This was made with scrap paper, rub-ons and ribbon.

Project #2

My Dad's birthday is coming up so I thought I would make a card for that last night. I found a card similar to this on someone else's blog and created my own take on it. I think I'll make about 3 more to keep around just in case.
The cupcake was cut on my cricut with the 'doodlecharms' cartridge, I cut the frosting twice with two colors and layered it. The swirl was cut using ;stretch your imagination'. I found the background paper in a stack a of duplicates a friend gave me.
I tried to scan the card and I couldn't 'cut' the image so you wouldn't have to see all the background - but failed. I think I'll stick to taking a quick picture of each project.

Project #1

I made this card for my sister, Steph! It's a lot like another card I made for Jenn (on the mission) so I kind of feel like I cheated.
This was made using my cricut, Wild Card cartridge (dolie) and George basic shapes (flower). I hand wrote the sentiment on strips of plain paper.

365 Day Resolution

I've decided I'm way to far behind in my scrapbooking, I kept up with my daughters book for about a year and slowly got to be about a year and a half behind. To try and keep myself on track I've made up my mind to scrap 365 pages or cards in the next 365 days, as well as keep each month in my daughters book to a maximum of three pages.

This goal should get me caught up with all the ongoing projects I've committed myself to (stupid, stupid, stupid), which includes a book for my younger sister to document the 18 months she will be living in another state on a religious mission (should end up being about 40 pages) as well as a card a week for her until she gets home in October.

I'll be updating with scans of cards/pages as well as the progress I'm making. Starting today!
