Baby Octopus

I found this cute pattern for a baby octopus and this is going on my desk - super cute. I have to make one for my hubby now and we'll have a matching set!

These are the three I did over the weekend - the blue one for hubby, red for my sister and the coral for my mom! The ribbons are for the charms they got for their birthday super cute!

Nubbie Scrubbie!!

So cute, I needed a wash cloth and found this on http://www.ravelry.com/, which if you are into knitting or crocheting is an invaluable site for patterns (both to buy and for free). This one was super easy and it only took me about 2 hours - and one skein of my favorite brand of yarn (Sugar & Cream).

I've love it!!

Ugliest Kitty Ever

Well I followed the pattern exactly, but this kitty didn't turn out like the picture! So I'm not posting the link because it sucked.

But I made it and I'm taking credit for it!

They can't all be winners.

Hot Chocolate

I finally got to making this little hot chocolate mug for my co-worker... It turned out to be the best one of the cups I've done so far.

Here is the link to the pattern: http://amigurumipatterns.blogspot.com/2009/03/little-cafe-con-lech-cup-from-amigurumi.html
Enjoy!

Naked Baby!!

Kellie has a 'bath time' doll and the clothing has gone MIA. Well I take that back, Kellie flushed the 'diaper' about a year ago and the shirt has recently been lost. So....I have been looking everywhere for some cute clothes for this doll with no luck, and I tried to find a cute pattern online for free and that didn't work out either - but it gave me a good starting point.
And now Kellie is old enough and has started telling me this kid needs to cover up!!

SO...
Underpants

Plus a cute purple dress with white ruffles

And a matching hat - equals a superfantastic outfit!!!
Kellie LOVES it!!
(I do to...)

King and Minions

My mom and I worked on these together and they were just kind of a learn-as-you-go type project. She did the bodies and I attached the faces, stuffed them and closed the up! They were for my nephews birthday and we decided it was the king (white one) and his minions...

Octopus

I found this pattern for free on http://www.lionbrand.com/ Kellie requested I make him brown and the finished product is super cute! I was thinking about giving him away, but was told by my husband and my daughter that he was too cute and was not allowed!!

Evening crocheting

Now if this isn't just the cutest pig you have ever seen! So cute! It took me about 4 hours - and well worth it! I got this pattern for free on www.redheart.com

Weekend Crocheting

I spent the weekend doing more crocheting - I took yesterday off because my hands were sore! But I finished the three projects attached.

Teacup - part two
I found a pattern for a 'mini-tea cup' and it was exactly what I was hoping the first one would be. I added the whipped cream from the first cup, because that's what made it awesome.

Turtle
I made this for my Grandma's birthday and she loved it! Actually everyone I showed this to loved it, so I can see myself make a few more in the future.

Bunny
I made this for my nieces birthday - it got rave reviews! The pattern didn't call for a scarf, but his neck was looking so small when I finished it so I added that.

Super cute!!

Back to the Craft

It's been a rough six months for me and I'm finally getting back on track! I am back to crafting, yay!!! We have temporarily moved into a smaller place and I'm storing all my scrapbook supplies at my mom's house :( So, for the time being I have gone back to my first love of crafting - crochet.

I have a bunch of photos I need to post - finished two blankets so far! But for now I'm posting two Amigurumi projects! Don't know what amigurumi is? I didn't either - until I sat down with my sister in law and she showed me a book filled with the most adorable crocheted animals. I looked up some free patterns online and now I'm hooked...hehe crochet humor.

1st attempt at Amigurumi - Teddy bear for my daughter, she has named him "Ferndie". This turned out a little big and I think that's because I learned to crochet in only one loop, if you don't crochet that means nothing, and he would have been 'tighter' if I'd gone through both.

2nd - Cup of coffee - this is just because I thought it was adorable and my daughter has now claimed it and named it "Tea Cup". This is also a little big for me, I again need to remember to go though both loops, and I'm going to cut 4 lines off so he's short and fat. I also need to do a better job attaching the handle closer to his face (you can't really even see the eyes or mouth in this photo) - so it looks more polished.

I can't wait to share more!!

Last of the cards...

The dinosaur was the last of the Critter cards for the day, I can't wait to see what else in on the cartridge, you can see Alison in the background (proud card mama).

This is a card I did working off a template in
PaperCrafts magazine - the tan part is actually raised up from the card with 3D glue dots. Pretty easy to do, but very pretty.

WELCOME HOME!!!

My sister is home from her LDS mission (as of Sept 17th), so I'm a little late in posting this. My sisters and I made a big sign to hang outside my parents house so that's what this is. The missionary girl is from Everyday Paper Dolls and the letters are from George.

Business Signage

Well I haven't completely disappeared - this is the signage I did for a local business. I used the Songbird font and put the vinyl on the inside of the door.

Turned out great and I made a little money!!

Labor Day cards

I really did work hard on getting caught up this weekend - I have 13 new cards to post today and two other projects I did yesterday I'll post soon. I didn't realize until I did the math in the last post how insanely behind I was - it's actually kind of daunting! But I'm determined to not give up and finish on time!!!

Wall Vinyl

I did these a while ago, but didn't get around to taking a picture until about a week ago - then didn't get around to downloading off my camera until yesterday! These where on the wall in my sisters room for when she gets back from her LDS mission NEXT WEEK!!!

How cute are these flowers and little red bird!

My sister is assigned to the "Ohio Columbus Mission" and signs all her letters "OCM Represent" so we thought that would be cute on the wall too.
She has now found a love for Ohio State - Sorry U of U, so this seems appropriate...
